A man went on a rampage on Sunday in Tokyo as he managed to stab 17 people within a matter of minutes in a busy shopping center, killing 7 people.
The violence took place during the lunch hour at the Akihabara district, popular for video games and electronics.
A 25-year old man, Tomohiro Kato, told police he came to Tokyo to kill people.
He was arrested with blood on his face after he drove in his truck, crashing into pedestrians.
He jumped out and began stabbing people. Police confirmed seven deaths, six men and one woman.
