In a story that is too shocking to believe, more terrifying details paint the picture of a monster called Josef Fritzl. The most shocking detail says Elisabeth Fritzl’s father repeatedly raped her in front of the children they had together.
Josef Fritzl imprisoned his daughter Elisabeth in the basement of this home for 24 years.
For the first nine years she was held captive by her father, confined to a single room in the basement. Only afterwards did he start to expand the cellar with additional rooms.
It has also become clear that until the expansion happened, the children born to Elisbeth Fritzl in the basement were also initially exposed to multiple incidents of her father committing rape against his daughter.
Elisabeth Fritzl has said that her years in the cellar began when her father locked her in the basement after he asked her to help him carry a door downstairs. For the first two days, he handcuffed her to a post and for the next six to nine months, he put her on a leash that kept her captive but allowed her to go to the toilet. According to sources, perpetrator Josef Fritzl admitted this in his first interrogations with investigators.

Twisted Fritzl cynically made out they had been abandoned on his door step by his daughter Elisabeth and he took them in to cover up his shameful secret.

According to doctors, the 19-year-old girl has virtually no hope as her vital organs began to shut down.
Baffled doctors appealed on TV for Kerstin’s mother to come forward because they needed information about the girl’s medical history. Fritzl accompanied Elisabeth to the hospital on April 26, and her story came to light.
Fritzl’s cellar children are afraid of the colour blue, rustling leaves and noisy traffic after spending their entire lives underground.

Staff at the clinic have created a special series of rooms in a container that copies the cellar they were held in.
Stefan, 18, and Felix, five, could face up to eight years of intensive therapy to recover from their dungeon ordeal.
Authorities were trying to verify whether a mechanism existed to pump deadly gas into the dingy, windowless rooms where Elisabeth lived with Kerstin and two of her sons, as Fritzl had claimed during initial police questioning.
