A high-speed passenger train came off the rails on Monday and moved onto another track, crashing into another train in the Shangdong province on Monday. 70 people were dead, and over 400 injured from the crash.
Investigators believe that the accident was caused by human error in the driving of the train.
They have already ruled out any possibility that it was a terrorist act of any kind.
The casualties were from both trains. One of the trains was going from Beijing to Qingdao. The other train was going from Yantai in Shangdong to Xuzhou in the Jiangsu province.
The trains collided in the city of Zibo around 4:40 a.m. on Monday morning.
Both trains left the tracks, with over 12 cars becoming derailed in total.
No foreign citizens were killed in the accident.
Four French nationals were hospitalized with bone fractures.
The trains were traveling over 120 km/hr, far above the speed limit.
