Police have arrested nine suspects in connection with a bus bombing in Sri Lanka.
The bus bombing killed 26 passengers near the capital of Sri Lanka.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa statd that the attacks showcased that “the terrorists had once again resorted to killing innocent civilians in the face of heavy setbacks on the battlefield.”
The Tamil Tiger separatists are resorting to old tactics with acts such as the bus bombing.
Police spokesman N.K. Llangakoon statd that nine suspects have been arrested and are being questioned following the blast. No further details were given.
They believe that the rebels will resort to extreme lows with these types of attacks, especially when they are losing.
The feeling is that the rebels are clearly under pressure, and may be making even more desperate moves soon.
