Hundreds upon hundreds of fishing boats who were out on the ocean failed to return as they were all likely killed by Cyclone Sidr.

Trees were ripped right out of the ground and power lines were torn down.

A disaster management official stated “We have been virtually blacked out all over the country.”

More than 100 fishing boats were in the Bay of Bengal when Cyclone Sidr hit, and many failed to return to shore even though storm warnings were sent out over the radio.

An official stated that “The cyclone has caused a havoc in all coastal districts and we will start getting details in a few hours.”

It is now known that at least 26 are dead with many more injured as the disaster continues to be evaluated.
