York police officer opens fire in Times Square.A New York police officer in civilian clothes opened fire Thursday afternoon, after a pursuit on the crowded sidewalks of the city, killing one person.

The shooting broke out after a man was suspected of defrauding tourists strolling along Broadway had been chased. The man had previously refused to identify themselves to police.

The victim, aged 25, allegedly shot with a pistol stolen in the direction of the police officer the prosecutor. This was replicated four times, hitting fatally.
