Washington (OTL) – The parents of a 14-year old Carnation girl have been arrested after nearly starving the girl to death.
Jon Earl Pomeroy and Rebecca Arwen Long, the father and step-mother of a 14-year old have been arrested.
They have been charged with criminal mistreatment for the starvation of the girl.
The two will be arraigned on October 27th in Seattle, Washington.
The 14-year old teenage girl weighed in at just 48 pounds when she was found by a deputy.
The deputy was responding to screams from the house.
The father and step-mother reportedly only fed the girl bread and minimal water, as she was locked in a room for long periods of time.
If convicted, they face up to 4 years in prison.
