Obama and McCain debate drew over 60 million viewers

This week marked the second presidential debate, and drew more viewers than the first.Washington (OTL) - Over 60 million people tuned in to watch the presidential debate between Barack Obama and John McCain this past Tuesday night.

According to the latest numbers from Nielsen Media Research, 63.2 million people tuned in to watch the debate on Tuesday night.

The debate was held in Nashville, Tennessee and had Democratic candidate Barack Obama going toe to toe with Republican candidate John McCain.

The 63.2 million viewers were spread out over a total of 11 networks.

Their first debate, back on September 26th, was watched by 52.4 million viewers.

This is still lower than the 70 million who tuned in to watch vice presidential candidates Joe Biden and Sarah Palin battle it out.
