Washington (ECN) – According to a new poll released by Gallup, John McCain is now leading Barack Obama.
Republican presidential candidate John McCain, according to the latest Gallup poll, is leading Barack Obama 48% to 45%.
This is the first time McCain has led in a poll since the middle of August.
The poll numbers do not always tell everything when it comes to an election, but it certainly reveals a lot of information about the thoughts of voters.
This poll shows McCain got a six-point bounce from when Obama received his big boost from the Democratic National Convention.
Much of the success for McCain can be contributed to the popularity of his vice presidential pick, Sarah Palin.
