Washington (OTL) - Federal authorities have ordered a bus company to shut down after a crash in Texas led to the death of 17 people.
The order has been issued by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
They have ordered the motor coach operations of Angel Tours Inc, as well as Iguana Busmex to cease operation.
Their chief, Angel De La Torre, has been cited as running an unsafe fleet of buses.
They have been deemed as “mechanically unsafe.”
They pose an “imminent hazard to the public” when they are in service.
This comes after the bus crash on Friday, when a bus driver lost control in Texas, hitting a guardrail and rolling on its side.
17 people died in the crash.
