Washington (OTL) - A man from Nevada, who tried to commit suicide by using Ricin, plead guilty on Monday and was sentenced.
The 57-year old Roger Bergendorff pleaded guilty to possession of Ricin in his Las Vegas motel room.
He had to be hospitalized for two months with suspected ricin poisoning.
He also pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered firearm.
He was living at the Extended Stay American Hotel in Las Vegas, and had possession of Ricin in February.
He also had a .22 caliber pistol, with an unregistered silencer attached before he was placed in the hospital on February 14th.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 3rd, and faces a $250,000 fine for each count, as well as 10 years in jail.
Ricin is deadly, as it can act by killing body cells.
