The head of the Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s team looking for the right vice president has resigned.
The former head of Fannie Mae, and head of Barack Obama’s vice presidential search team Jim Johnson has resigned.
He stepped down from his post due to controvsery around loans received from Countrywide Financial Corp from 1990 to 1998.
He wanted to avoid being any type of liability to Obama, which is why he decided to step down.
The position was unpaid, but it could have resulted in causing Obama a great many problems.
Obama announced his resignation in a statement on Wednesday.
