Barack Obama is one step closer to the White House as he’s declared his win as the Democratic nominee.
U2’s song “Beautiful Day” provided the soundtrack as he stepped up to the podium and promised a new and better America.
“Tonight, I can stand before you and say that I will be the Democratic nominee for president of the United States of America,” Sen. Obama told an estimated 32,000 people gathered in St. Paul, Minn., late Tuesday.
Obama is the first black man to become a presidential candidate for a major political party in the U.S
