Some severe storms rocked the Midwest, causing at least 7 deaths and a major amount of destruction in the center of the United States.
The deaths came from both Iowa and Minnesota and could be higher than the reported number thus far.
This is the worst storm season thus far to hit the Midwest in over a decade.
More than 100 people have died from tornadoes in 2008 thus far according to the National Weather Service, which makes it the worst death toll in a decade.
The scary aspect is that the season is not done yet, as the tornadoes which hit on Sunday were extremely devastating.
In Parkersburg, Iowa, nearly one-third of the town of 1,000 residents was completely destroyed.
Iowa’s governor as well as two senators took a tour of the disaster site on Monday, and will ask President Bush for federal aid.
