An orangutan managed to escape from the Los Angeles Zoo on Saturday, running freely for more than 20 minutes.
29-year old Bruno managed to escape from his pen for about 20 minutes or so as 3,000 visitors fled to the exit from the zoo.
Bruno escaped from his pen through a hole in the wire fence. He sat behind his pen afterward, apparently scared.
Since he is trained to allow the keepers to give him medicine, he allowed them to sedate him.
He was then brought to his bedroom to try and rest out the remainder of the day, which he did. All is now back to normal for Bruno, but this is one daring orangutan to say the least who simply wanted a change of scenery for a little while. He sure had a busy day Saturday.
