North Carolina Governor Mike Easley will endorse Sen. Hillary Clinton for president.
Easley is expected to announce the endorsement at a rally planned for Tuesday in Raleigh, North Carolina. This goes against a great deal of congressional delegation in the state who have already endorsed Obama.
Easley has made a very risky move with the endorsement of Clinton. He is set to leave office this year due to term limits, but could help Clinton in a state where she currently is behind Barack Obama in the majority of polls.
There has yet to be a formal statement on the endorsement, but all is expected to come later in the day on Tuesday, proving to be a huge win for Clinton.a
