The former first lady and widow of former president Ronald Reagan, Nancy Reagan, has been released from the hospital in Los Angeles and is now resting in her home.
The former U.S. first lady has spent the last two nights there as a precaution after falling down Sunday in her California home.
She fell over the weekend and it was believed that she may have broken her hip.
The 86-year-old Reagan was taken to her Bel-Air home though after leaving the St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California.
“Doctors have released Mrs. Reagan from the hospital and she is very happy to be back in her home,” Reagan family spokeswoman Joanne Drake said in a written statement.
“She went in really shaky — anybody that would have a fall would be really shaky,” said Drake. Drake said the cause of the fall is still being determined.
“She has already begun resuming her daily activities,” Drake said.
She was in the same room as former President Ronal Reagan when he broke his hip in 2001.
Her last major public appearance was at the Jan. 30 Republican presidential debate at the Ronald Reagan library in Simi Valley, Calif.
She did not attend a 97th birthday celebration held for her late husband at the Reagan library on Feb. 6.
