Barack Obama and John Edwards did not stand still at all over the weekend, nor have they at all during the entire campaign. They have been taking every chance they have had to take shots at the leader of the national Democratic polls, Hillary Clinton.

One interesting thing which has taken place now though is that it seems that they are not only fighting Clinton, but also each other. The idea has began to come up that it may now be a battle for second place, and a second place that could prove to be extremely important as the campaigns roll onward.

This means that Edwards and Obama have turned some of the attention towards each other.

Obama is thought to have a great chance to take the second place spot in Iowa since he is from North Carolina and has been through this before in Iowa.

It is always better to come in second than third, and it seems that Obama and Edwards are quickly realizing this heading into the final days.
