Oprah Winfrey is getting ready to hit the campaign trail next month as she will be on the road with Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama.
Oprah Winfrey is going to be heading on the campaign trail to Iowa, New Hampshire, as well as South Carolina along with Sen. Barack Obama.
The hope is that Oprah Winfrey is going to be able to win votes for Obama in regards to the women vote as she is one of the most influential women in the world.
Back in September Oprah helped raise $3 million for Obama and has been a supporter of him throughout. It is expected that the appearances by Oprah and Obama are going to be absolutely huge events.
Obama is not convinced he has votes sealed up though just because Oprah Winfrey is endorsing him.
A recent poll by USA TODAY revealed only 8% of adults state dthat Oprah Winfrey supporting Obama made them more likely to vote for him. 10% stated it would make them less likely to support Obama.
Obama stated “People are going to make the decisions not based on who’se endorsing. Ultimately, I’m going to have to make the sale.”
