Police believe that they have identified Baby Grace, and have charged the parents of the girl.
Sheriff’s detectives from Galveston County have charged Kimberly Dawn Tenor, 19-years-old, and Royce Clyde Zeigler II, 24-years-old with injury to a child and tampering with physical evidence. Their bonds are set at $350,000 each.
On Saturday two search warrants were executed as the detectives were sent into try and find any evidence on the case.
The girl, Baby Grace, is Riley Ann Sawyers. She was found dead in a storage box which washed ashore on October 30th in Galveston Bay.
Her identity has not yet been confirmed by DNA but it is believed that it is in fact the missing girl.
The arrests were made early Saturday morning. The investigation kicked into gear more intensely when a tip was called into the sheriff’s office on November 7th.
Additional information is expected to be released later on Monday in regards to the case.
