37-year-old Alcides Moreno is awake and talking to his family, and is also expected to walk again based on his progress. Moreno is an Ecuadorean immigrant who fell 500 feet on December 7th. He fell 47 stories when a scaffolding collapsed, killing his brother.

Doctors are blown away by his recovery as the doctors at the New York - Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center stated that it has been incredible the progress he has made.

Moreno now can move his limbs and is breathing and talking on his own. He spoke for the first time on Christmas day.

He had to go through many blood transfusions, nine orthopedic operations, and much more to recover. His brother 30-year-old Edgar Moreno died instantly and was buried in Ecuador.
