A gunman, 18-years-old, killed seven other students when he decided to open up fire at his high school in Finland, before shooting the principal and them himself in the head.
Investigators believe that he revealed his plans in various postings on the internet urging a revolution. The gunman shot himself in the head after the attack which took place at the Jokela High School. This is 30 miles north of the capital of Finland, Helsinki.
In total with his .22-caliber pistol he killed five boys, two girls, and a female principal. Around 12 other students were also injured trying to escape the school, one more was wounded by a bullet.
He was shouting “revolution” as he walked up and down the halls picking off his victims left and right.
The biggest evidence which shows it was pre-meditated was a YouTube video entitled “Jokela High School Massacre.”
Police Chief Matti Tohkanen stated “He was from an ordinary family.”
