A bus exploded in Russia in what many are calling a terrorist attack. The explosion left eight people dead and fifty injured.
The attack took place on Wednesday with morning commuters packing the bus in the Russian city of Togliatti.
A terrorism investigation has already begun. The bomb blast was caused by 2 kilos of explosives. The city is 600 miles from Moscow and is a very popular city as it is the center for all car manufacturing in Russia.
One source has already stated that Islamic extremists could be responsible for the bombing of the bus. Police are also looking into if organized crime could have caused this as well.
The city is a very high-crime location with a lot of problems in regards to gangs and such.
The region’s governor Vladimir Artyakov stated “We have reached the conclusion that this was an act of terrorism.”
