Forward Michael Beasley has stated that he is leaving Kansas State and will enter the NBA draft.  He is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick.Forward Michael Beasley has stated that he is leaving Kansas State and will enter the NBA draft. He is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick.

He spent just one year at Kansas State. The 19-year old told a televised news conference at the school in Manhattan, Kansas that he is ready to go to the NBA.

He stated “I think it’s time for me to take my game to the next level. I think I’ve proven myself over the course of the year and I felt I was ready for new challenges.”

Beasley averaged 26.2 points as well as a nation-high 12.4 rebounds per game last season.

He is 6-foot-10, 235-pounds.

He lead the Kansas State Wildcats to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

He will be the first or second pick in the NBA draft according to most analysts.
