Jailed for Facebook friend request

A 54 year old man was jailed Monday after attempting to add his almost ex-wife as a friend on Facebook.

Although it is not a crime to add friends, Harry Bruider had violated a protective order his wife had obtained.

She filed the order after he lashed out her when the courts ordered him to attend counseling.

Bruider admitted to investigators he had contacted her on Facebook and he had changed his wife’s password to her email account.

On July 27th, Bruider wrote on his Facebook wall, “today my future x wife thinks she won but the real winner is me for I know the truth she is nothing but a lying emotionally disturbed woman who needs help to handle previous abusive relationship.”

Bruider is being held on a $5000 bond.
