Washington (OTL) – Lexus has gone full-out hybrid with their new dedicated hybrid vehicle, the 2010 HS 250h.
The model announced is between their IS luxury sport sedan, and the ES luxury sedan, and is the first luxury hybrid ever released.
This new beast is no toy to say the least, as it features a four-cylinder gas engine, the 2.4-liter Atkinson-cycle powerplant. In total, it has 187 total system horsepower with the electric motor and engine combined.
It also has a new exhaust heat recovery system installed for the first time. This allows it to heat up faster in the winter when it is nice and chilly in there.
This model will have the best fuel efficiency in the entire 2010 Lexus line-up.
