Hollywood (OTL) – National Geographic has launched their own games division to begin developing video games.
National Geographic Global Media announced Tuesday the launch of National Geographic Games or NGG.
This is a brand new business unit that will create games for multiple platforms.
Among those include the Apple iPhone, the PS3, Xbox 360, and more.
The first title is going to be a downloadable game for the Mac and iPHone as well as Windows.
It will be known as Herod’s Lost Tomb, and will feature content from the December 2008 issue of the magazine.
There are many other games in the pipeline as well.
