Washington – Apple has announced that they are going to be selling an unlocked version of the iPhone 3G in Hong Kong.
Customers are going to be able to pick up the iPhone 3G in Hong Kong, and from there they can choose whatever carrier they want for the devcie.
This goes against what Apple is doing with the iPhone around the world in other countries.
The unlocked 8GB 3G iPhone is going to sell for $695, pretty expensive.
On top of that, the 16GB version will sell for $798 in total.
The phone can be activated with any wireless carrier.
