Washington (OTL) – As of today, the new Xbox 360 price cuts have gone into effect in the U.S.
Microsoft has made a bold move this week in regards to pricing to better compete with the Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii.
Microsoft has announced that they have cut the price of the Xbox 360 across all models.
The new prices will make the Xbox 360 Arcade model be at a price point of $199, $50 below that of the Wii.
The 60GB Xbox 360 will receive a price drop down to $299, while the Xbox 360 Elite will be priced at $399.
This compares to the 40GB PS3 with the $399 price point, and the Wii at the $250 price point.
