Boston (OTL) – Best Buy has signed a deal to start selling the Apple iPhone on September 7th.
Best Buy will become the first U.S. chain outside of Apple and AT&T stores to sell the Apple iPhone.
The announcement came from Best Buy on Tuesday, as they stated that they are going to expand the availability of Apple phones to 970 full-size stores, and 16 Best Buy Mobile stores.
This will make the Apple iPhone available to the masses, not requiring people to go to an AT&T store or an Apple store to pick one up.
Best Buy has recently upgraded their computer systems so that they can handle such things as cell-phone activations, to build on their Best Buy Mobile braind.
