Larrabee is a multi-core graphics processor from Intel, who will be competing in the PC gaming market, going up against ATI as well as Nvidia.

Intel will run Larrabee on the x86 processor architecture, and will make it easier for developers, giving them more freedom.

Larrabee is also expected to reduce traffic problems with multi-core chips, by using a ring network between cores to cut down on lag.

Each core is going to have an extension as well to handle 65-bitd ata, as well as multi-threading.

The new architecture is not due until 2009 or 2010, as the first chip will likely not be released until 2010.
