Boston - According to reports, the nearest planet to the sun, Mercury, continues to shrink in size.
Scientists have come out and stated that the cooling of the planet’s core is causing it to shrink in size.
The cooling has triggered a magnetic dynamo, which has led to the planet contracting.
It is believed that Mercury is at least one-third greater smaller than in the past.
This comes after the NASA MESSENGER probe sent 1,200 pictures taken from 120 miles from Mercury’s surface.
