Blizzard ended the 8-year wait for fans, as they have announced Diablo III at the 2008 Worldwide Invitational.
Diablo remains one of the most popular RPG franchises of all time, and Blizzard is ready to reinvent it yet again with a brand new entry into the series.
The launch of Diablo III will mark the first entry into the series since Diablo II, which released 8 years ago.
The announcement came during the opening ceremony of the 2008 Worldwide Invitational, and blew fans out of the water as they were also treated to a demo of the game, which runs on a customized Havok physics engine.
Blizzard did not talk a release date, but will launch simultaneously on the PC and Mac worldwide.
