One of the newest effective blocks of voters has been the younger, Internet and media savvy new voters.

Washington, D.C.- One of the newest effective blocks of voters has been the younger, Internet and media savvy new voters.

Young voters have suddenly became one of the most sought after blocks of voters, as having been evidenced by the efforts of all the different campaigns this year to reach out to them.

The Primary 2008 Presidential Campaign has been marked with a great deal of battle for different groups of voters, and none has been as pronounced as the newest battle for the young, Internet savvy web users.

Over 6.5 million young voters under 30 years of age have voted in the primary campaigns in states all over America, and this is an important new group for any politician to consider.

The youth turnout for the vote has risen three consecutive times, in 2004, 2006, and in 2008, and it promises to continue to be a large block for candidates to consider and provide for.

The rate of young voters was around 9 percent in many states in 2000, and it grew to nearly 17 percent in 2008, a growth of nearly double in eight years.
