
Mountain View, California - The makers of the popular Firefox web browser has announced the release of Firefox 3, the newest in a series of web browsers. It is being released June 17th, 2008.
It is a much-anticipated release and it will be greeted with parties all over the world to celebrate the occasion.
The official world record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours is also being aimed for, the makers of Firefox 3 is encouraging users to sign on and download the new browser beginning Tuesday June 17th.
The total number of unique downloads will potentially qualify for a new record with the Guinness Book of World Records. Over a million potential users have signed up and pledged to download the newest Firefox 3 software.
The new Firebox 3 software is a bit rough, it does not offers as many add on support features as previous versions have, but it is being refined and worked on even as we speak.
Google has announced that is discontinuing the Google Browser Sync software and it recommends that users download and use Mozilla Weave or other software in its place.
