The three ISPs have joined and agreed to block all websites and newsgroups which have child pornography.

The deal was set up by the New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo.

They will make up a blacklist of sites and newsgroups which will be maintained by the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, an NGO.

There is no legal requirement of anything of that nature.

The three have joined to erase child porn from the net though. The goal is a safer and cleaner internet for all.
