Hackers have managed to successfully attack Comcast Corp late on Wednesday, bringing down the Comcast.net web site, as well as their web-based e-mail service.
The hackers managed to disrupt the service of millions of people who were trying to access their e-mail as well as the site.
Two anonymous hackers went after Comcast around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, redirecting Internet traffic from Comcast.net and the Comcast e-mail service to an outside web site.
The hackers used nicknames, stating they “roXed Comcast.”
Comcast was still having problems with their e-mail through Thursday evening.
Comcast does not believe any customer information was compromised.
