Netflix has signed a deal with a start-up company named Roku, to develop a set-top box that is said to be a cheaper, and higher-quality set-up than Apple TV.
The new service will allow for on-demand content for Netflix subscribers, as they will be able to take advantage of the service to watch DVD-quality movies instantly on their TV.
The new service is called “Watch Instantly” and will feature sales of a set-top box which will carry a price tag of around $99.
Reports state it will have better video and audio quality than Apple TV, with more than 10,000 movies available to help kick off the service.
Netflix is expected to add more and more movies over time.
