49-year old Lori Drew from Missouri has been indicted in the case where teen girl Megan Meier committed suicide after being bullied on MySpace.
Meier believed that Drew was a 16-year old boy on the social-networking site MySpace. The two developed a relationship, which Drew wanted to use to get back at Meier for talking about her teenage daughter. Things took a turn for the worst though, when Meier killed herself.
Lori Drew faces up to 20 years in prison for conspiracy as well as accessing protected computers to obtain information to inflict emotional distress.
Drew’s last message sent to Meier was that the world would be a better place without her.
