Research in Motion has delayed the launch of the 3G Blackberry from June until August. The 3G Blackberry will run on the AT&T network.
The smartphone, code named Meteor, was expected to launch in June.
This will not be the case though as it is now expected to launch in August.
The device will be the first to use the 3G technology for AT&T. A similar version was released already on Verizon Wireless and Sprint as well.
There is no word yet as to why the device has been delayed. Many believe it may be due to the lack of call quality as well as a possible launch of the 3G Apple iPhone in June.
We will have to wait for an official word from RIM though, as they have yet to confirm any type of release date at all.
