Nintendo has come out and stated that they have absolutely no plans to cut the price of the Wii or DS in 2008.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has come out and stated that the company has no plans to drop the price of the DS or Wii in 2008.
This comes as he stated that the forecast for Nintendo does not factor in any type of hardware discounting, meaning no price cuts.
Iwata stated to Reuters, “Our earnings projection for the year is not based on hardware price cuts, and I don’t think we are going to need them.”
This comes as Nintendo manages to dominate sales with the Wii and DS, beating out rivals Sony and Microsoft each and every month.
With big titles such as Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii, and others due for release, things are only looking brighter for Nintendo, which is why they have no price cut in sight.
