The U.S. space shuttle Endeavour touched down on Earth on Wednesday following a record 16-day mission.
Endeavour spent 12 days at the International Space Station, completing 5 different spacewalks. They installed the first part of the Japanese space laboratory Kibo, as wel as the Canadian-built robot Dextre.
Endeavour’s landing was delayed a bit due to poor weather.
It did manage to land successfully on Wednesday though at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Endeavour pilot Greg Johnson told Mission Control in Houston “This has been a two-week adventure and it’s been a pleasure and honor to be on it. In a bittersweet way, we’re ready to get home.”
