The remains of the dinosaur have absolutely left paleontologists amazed. Paleontologist Paul Sereno of National Geographic put the dinosaur up on display Thursday at the headquarters of the National Geographic Society.

The dinosaur is going to remain there until March. The creature was named Nigersaurus taqueti. The researchers stated the amazing thing about this dinosaur is that it survived even though it went against many previous theories and beliefs.

He stated “The biggest eureka moment was when I was sitting at the desk with this jaw. I was sitting down just looking at it and saw a groove and … realized that all the teeth were up front.â€

Sereno stated that having teeth in the front is extremely odd as it is not usually the location where you process food.

The first evidence of Nigersaurus was in the 1990s and now researchers have reconstructed the entire skull and skeleton.

It was 30-feet long and had a skull which stayed close to the ground similar to how a modern-day vacuum works. It had over 50 columns of teeth along the front edge of its jaw.

CT scans allowed researchers to study inside the skull as well.
