Washington (OTL) - The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has put out a report revealing that Mississippi has the highest teen birth rate in the entire U.S.
The report looks at teen birth rates in the year 2006 to see which states had the highest levels.
They found that the state of Mississippi had a teen birth rate that was 60% above the national average.
It was above stated such as Texas and New Mexico which were 50% over the average.
The state with the lowest teen birth rate was said to be New Hampshire.
This was the first time in 14-years the teen birth rate increased.
