Washington (OTL) - A teenage girl managed to survive and live for four months without a heart.
14-year old D’Zhana Simmons was released from a Miami hospital on Wednesday after two heart transplants.
Between surgeries, she survived for four months without a heart.
Two pump devices were used to temporarily replace the heart of the patient.
Her heart was found to be too weak to pump blood which was when she was taken to the hospital.
Between transplants, she lived with artificial heart pumps for 118 days, no heart.
The successful heart transplant was done on October 29th in what is a miracle case
