Washington (OTL) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has opened up an office in Beijing, China.
China has been the center of many issues in regards to tainted food and drugs.
These are key imports to the U.S. and have been under a lot of scrutiny in recent months.
The FDA has plans to open up offices in both Guangzhou as well as Shanghai, China.
These offices are going to open up in just a few days.
They will also open offices in Latin America, the Middle East, as well as India.
The U.S. is going to use the office to help China improve regulatory systems for exports.
