Washington (OTL) - A new study has shown that daylight savings time has an impact on your heart.
A new study was published on Wednesday which shows that heart attacks depend on when clocks go ahead or backwards.
Researchers carried out their study on heart attacks in Sweden. What they found was that the chance of heart attack increases after the first three days after the clocks go ahead for daylight savings time.
Many believe that this could be caused by sleep deprivation which occurs while people adjust.
The study was led by Dr. Imre Janszky of the Karolinska Institute and Rickard Ljung of the National Board of Health and Welfare.
The study has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, and found the link between the clock change, and heart attack risk increasing.
