Washington (OTL) – One thing often over looked is that many men go through breast cancer.
Breast cancer awareness month is this month, as many groups are attempting to raise awareness among breast cancer in men.
According to a story published in Wisconsin on WSAW, some people are going to tattoo their skin pink in honor of supporting breast cancer.
They are working with what is called the Pink Tie Club to try to raise awareness.
This is to exterminate the misperception that breast cancer is a women’s disease only.
It is a little known fact that 2% of all breast cancer diagnoses are in men.
Throughout this month, pink will be everywhere — from pink ribbons to pink jewelry, even pink teddy bears, as the country commemorates Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
