After posting pictures of patients on MySpace, two hospital workers have been fired.Toronto (OTL) After posting pictures of patients on MySpace, two hospital workers have been fired.

The two workers were from the University of New Mexico Hospital, and are accused of taking pictures of patients injuries.

Although the university hospital has currently ended the contracts of two workers, there is a likely chance more jobs could be lost in connection to the incident as the investigation continues to unfold. These patients were being treated in the emergency room, while pictures were taken with the cell phones of employees in question.

The two employees only took close-ups of injuries, and the patients are indemnified in any picture, they did break patient privacy, and the hospital policy, which prohibits the use of cell phones in patient areas.

The images were posted on MySpace, and were only visible to friends of the MySpace user.

It was impossible to recognize the patients in the photos because their faces and personal identifying features had been removed.
