Toronto (OTL) - A new study has shown that social isolation can actually make you very cold.
The study was led by University of Toronto psychologists Chen-Bo Zhong and Geoffrey Leonardelli.
They looked at volunteers for the study, and asked them about how they felt when they were socially excluded.
This consisted of being left out of things, such as a club or a group of friends.
After talking about these issues, they were then asked about the temperate of the room.
All of them stated that the temperature was far colder than it actually was.
Many remembered feeling chilled. This shows that social isolation can make people feel very cold overall.
